Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, scores twice as Napoli maul Juventus 5-1 in Italy

Victor Osimhen

Red-hot Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen scored in the 14th and 65th minute as Napoli mauled Juventus 5-1 in the Italian Serie A on Friday night.

Juventus arrived at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona as Serie A’s most in form team, following a winning run that has seen them leap to second spot in the league.

Osimhen will bag his 11th Serie A goal of the season 14 minutes into the game to give Napoli the lead and calm any fears of a Juventus revival show.

The Nigerian forward then provided assist for Kvaratsheila to double the Partonopei’s lead in the 39th minute.

2022 FIFA World Cup winner Di Maria halved the deficit for Juventus three minutes before the halftime break. Napoli led 2-1 at halftime in the top of the table clash.

Elymas will extend Napoli’s lead early in the second half before Victor Osimhen applied predatory instinct to head past Sczecny for his brace.

His 12th goal of the Serie A campaign and one that gave Luciano Spalleti’s men further breathing space to comfortably round up victory over Juventus with a 5th goal arriving in the 78th minute.

For another fantastic game, Napoli fans did accord their leading scorer a standing ovation as he came off with less than 10 minutes to the end of the game with the result way beyond contention.

It finished Napoli 5-1 Juventus.

Napoli now hold a 10-point advantage over Juventus and AC Milan, the Rosseneri with a game to be decided this weekend.
