Nigeria’s Consul General, Abubakar Jidda, to be Special Guest at New York screening of new Nollywood blockbuster, KALAKIRI

The Consul General of Nigeria in New York, Ambassador Abubakar Jidda, will be the Special Guest at the North America Special Screening of KALAKIRI, the new socio-political blockbuster by Triatlantic Films International, scheduled to take place in New York on 28 June.
Ambassador Jidda confirmed his attendance as Special Guest on Thursday when he received the Executive Producer of the movie, Mr. Obi Emekekwue, who visited his office at the Nigerian Consulate in New York to brief him about the movie project and to extend him the invitation to be the Special Guest at the Special Screening.
The Special Screening is being hosted at the Marillac Auditorium of St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York. It is expected to attract strong attendance by members of the Nigerian and African Diaspora as well as the general public in the New York region of the United States which falls under the purview of the Consul General. KALAKIRI is opening to the public on 12 June, with showings in 35 cinemas across Nigeria, including locations in Lagos, Abuja and, potentially, Enugu, Port Harcourt, etc.
Directed by the award-winning Chika Onu, KALAKIRI is an adaptation of Prisoner of the KALAKIRI written by noted author Chudi Uwazurike. It features a retinue of top stars, like Segun Arinze, Nancy Isime, Charles Okocha, Caleb Richards, Aisha Mohammed and Akume Akume, among a stellar cast of more than 100 best-of-the-best Nollywood headliners.
Viewers who watch KALAKIRI in Nigerian cinemas will have the chance to enter a special prize draw with a grand prize of one round-trip Premium (Business Class) ticket on United Nigeria Airlines to any destination served by the airline within Nigeria. The second prize winner will receive a round-trip Economy Class ticket to any domestic destination served by United Nigeria Airlines.
