At least 14 people have been killed and two others seriously wounded in an attack on a village in Plateau state.
The attack on Kwata-Zawan village happened Sunday night when gunmen stormed the village, broke into houses and shot their victims dead.
It is not clear who the attackers were, but the state has been witnessing ethnic and religious bloodshed for more than a decade.
An elder in the village, Gregory Gong, said that the dead have already been buried while the injured are receiving treatment in hospital.
The police and the villagers say they have yet to identify the assailants.
