NSCDC parades 4 suspected kidnappers in Sokoto

The Sokoto State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has paraded four suspected kidnappers.

Parading the suspects, Sokoto State Commandant of NSCDC, Muhammed Salah Dada assured that their collaboration with other security agencies will continue to make it difficult for criminals to succeed in the State.

According to him, the suspects were arrested in Tsamiya, one of their out-posts in Tureta local government.

Tureta local government is at the extreme flank of Sokoto South Senatorial district bordering Zamfara State.

Continuing, the NSCDC Commandant said, “Bello Abdullahi, Bello Abubakar, Abdullahi Oro and Lawali Suleiman were arrested in connection with the kidnapping of one Alhaji Umme, Hafsat Dandare, Amina Umme and Alhaji Ustazu on the 22nd of April, 2022 which they collected 5 million naira as ransom”.

Commandant Salah Dada added that the arrested kidnappers equally collected another N900,000 ransom from their captors in Dabagi village of Dange Shuni local government.

While stressing that the suspects have all confessed to committing the crimes, the NSCDC boss further added that they are on the trail of some of their collaborators who are at presently at large.

According to Saleh Dada, the kidnappers are a syndicate with some of their members operating in Kaduna and Niger States.

He also assured that all the suspects will be charged to Court after the completion of their investigations.
