Ogbemudia dies at 84; Condolence register opened

AGENE GODWIN, Benin

Two time governor of the defunct Bendel state, Dr Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia who died at about 11.09 pm Thursday night has been described as a man of peace

He was aged 84 and his last public outing was the State government birthday party in his honor.

Ogbemudia died in a private hospital in Lagos after a prolong ailment.

His body is due back to Edo state latter today (Friday) where possible family rites will be discussed.

Our correspondent who was at his Iheya Benin residence observed a beehive of activities as some aides were seen cleaning up the tomb which the late Sage has constructed for his final resting place
