Okonjo-Iweala delivers keynote address at African University of Science and Technology convocation

Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, delivered the Keynote Speech at the 10th convocation ceremony of the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja on AI and Frontier Technologies: How can we harness the Opportunities and tackle the Challenges to help drive Africa’s Development.

At the auspicious occasion, some notable personalities – Alhaji Kashim Imam, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, Group Managing Director, UBA, Mr. Oliver Alawuba and Director General, NIMC, Engineer Abisoye Coker-Odusote bagged honorary doctorate degrees.

In an X post on the event, Dr. Okonjo-Iweala congratulated the graduates of the institution, the honorary doctorate degree recipients as well as the AUST President, Prof Onwualu, Board Chair, Barrister Etigwe SAN, and board members and Nelson Mandela Institution CEO Bona Mbida-Essama and NMI chair Jean-Louis Sarbib.

Engineer Coker-Odusote was also the commencement speaker at the event.
