Lovric had put hosts Udinese ahead in the 13th minute and it looked like Napoli’s Scuddeto clinching party will suffer another setback before the Nigerian striker struck.
Napoli did press further to get a winner but were denied by a resolute Udinese back-line on Thursday night.
In the end, a 1-1 scoreline was enough to hand Napoli the Italian Serie A title, with 5 games to the end of the season.
The full-time whistle sparked celebrations in Naples and even at the Stade Fruili as fans invaded the pitch to celebrate with the new kings of Italy, Napoli.
