Gov. Alex Otti of Abia has extolled the qualities of Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, saying she has played a role in Abia’s growth and development.
Otti disclosed his disposition towards Odumegwu-Ojukwu in a birthday message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma and made available to newsmen in Umuahia on Wednesday.
He expressed his gratitude to the wife of the late Ikemba of Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, for supporting what he termed “Abia’s redemption.”
“On a day like this, I feel excited to celebrate my sister and friend, Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on the occasion of her birthday.
“She is a woman of strong will and courage.
“An amazon from the East, who has distinguished herself in many facets and continues to prove that, with courage and character; nothing is too big for any human being to accomplish,” he said.
The governor recalled that the minister began supporting the struggle for Abia’s redemption when he first ran for governorship position on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
He described her as an honest, just, and courageous Nigerian who has represented womanhood diligently and positively.
He also described her as a huge asset to the Igbo Nation, Nigeria, and humanity.
Otti noted that just a few months after Odumegwu-Ojukwu’s appointment as Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, her commitment and accomplishments had been outstanding and commendable.
He enjoined her to continue to uphold the virtues and character which had distinguished and made her an admirable woman leader.
The governor assured Odumegwu-Ojukwu that he would continue to support and stand by her at all times as she strives courageously to achieve more successes in her eventful life.
Otti, on behalf of his family, the Abia government, and its people, wished Odumegwu-Ojukwu a happy birthday.
He also prayed that she would live long in good health to celebrate many more beautiful years ahead.
