


Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Peter Obi, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the Vice Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, over the death of his mother, Dame Mary Amaechi.
He prayed that the Almighty God will grant Chief Amaechi’s mother eternal rest and comfort the former Transportation Minister, his family and all who mourn the departed matriarch.
Mr. Obi, former Governor of Anambra State also visited the family of the late highly respected cleric, Reverend Dr. William Okoye, whose passing, he said, “is a great loss to our nation and to humanity.”
Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election, who said in a post on his X (former Twitter) platform that “in moments of grief, standing with one another is one of the greatest expressions of our shared humanity,” also paid a condolence visit to political activist, Mr. Isaac Fayose, who was also recently bereaved.
