Peter Obi visits slain Fish Magnet’s family, wants killers brought to justice

Mr. Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, who said, in a post on his X (former Twitter) platform, that he visited to commiserate with the grieving mother “over the painful tragic loss of her beloved son,” called on the security agencies to thoroughly “investigate this brutal murder and bring the perpetrators to justice.”
He noted, in the post titled “The Fish Magnet: We Must Not Allow Lawlessness to Thrive,” that the promising young Nigerian SME entrepreneur who was based in Awka, the state capital, was tragically kidnapped and later killed, while his remains were abandoned in Amawbia, pointing out that “this shocking and senseless act of violence is a painful reminder of the worsening insecurity in our society.”
Obi, besides calling for thorough investigation of the “brutal murder,” also urged everyone to raise their voices “to strongly condemn such heinous acts,” stressing that “We must all work together – government, community, and citizens alike – to build a safer, more secure Nigeria.”
He, thereafter, prayed God to grant the departed eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the “heartbreaking” loss.
