
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase has set up a scholarship foundation geared towards sponsoring talented children of serving and deceased officers, both at primary and secondary school levels.
According to a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Kolawole, this development is in a bid ‘to further guarantee the welfare of officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force for a robust quality service delivery to the members of the public.’
The statement further announced that the forms for the scholarship scheme are available at all police children’s primary and secondary schools for collection by interested pupils and students of Police officers and men.
“This is to equally state that the scholarship scheme is in line with the Policy Trust of IGP Solomon Arase, which is aimed at improving the standard of living of Police Officers and Men, including their services to Nigerians,” said the statement.
