President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki has said that he spoke with President Muhammadu Buhari Wednesday night, even as pictures surfaced of the President receiving All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftains, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Chief Bisi Akande in London.
The health of the President, who went on vacation to London and was to also have his medical check-up, has been the subject of rumours and speculations, especially when his expected return to the country last Sunday was postponed at the last minute.
The pictures of him with Asiwaju Tinubu and Chief Akande have gone to re-enforce assurances by the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Dr. Saraki that they are in touch with the country’s first citizen and that he is, generally speaking, well.
Dr. Saraki, speaking through his twitter handle said: “Happy to have spoken with @NGRPresident @MBuhari tonight(Weddnesday). He was in good spirits and joked about my working late into the night, as usual.”
