The theme of the extra special service, which will also mark the 74th birthday anniversary of the General Overseer, GO, of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, is “The Winning Side.”
According to Pastor Adeboye, while in the United Kingdom, UK, some 30 years ago, God asked him what he wanted as birthday gift and he asked for miracles for every member of the RCCG.
God instructed him to assemble the people for a service where the blessings would be released and thus started the Holy Ghost Service which would mark its 30th anniversary this year.
In the programme’s 30 year history, there have been countless miracles, signs and wonders and attendance has increased tremendously over the years while the Redemption Camp has grown, equally spectacularly, into a huge city on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Daddy G.O, Pastor Adeboye, with other Anointed Ministers of God, will, as usual, be ministering at this landmark Service.
In a related development, President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the G. O on his 74th birthday anniversary which falls on March 2, 2016.
According to Special Adviser to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President believes that the G.O, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Presidential Villa on February 16, 2016 and whom he had interacted with many times before, epitomizes the virtues of honesty, peace, patience, contentment, humility and diligence, which are the trademarks of a good believer.
The President, he said, commends the relentless efforts, sacrifices and the grace of God upon the life of Pastor Adeboye, who has, over the years propagated the gospel around the world, organized large gatherings of Christian worshippers and consistently counseled leaders and their citizens on living right before God.
President Buhari also saluted the social and humanitarian interventions of the G.O in providing health and educational services to complement the efforts of governments and prayed that the Almighty God will grant Pastor Adeboye long life and more strength to carry on the good work.
