The 26th Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), The Americas, with the theme, EMMANNUEL, ended in the early hours of Saturday, June 17, 2023, after the Holy Ghost Service which had the General Overseer (GO) of the Church, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and other Anointed Men and Women of God ministering.

Pastor Adeboye, his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, the Continental Overseer of RCCG The Americas, Pastor (Dr.) James Fadel and Apostle Joshua Selman are now for the RCCG NA DMV mega program, Light Up DMV, with the theme, LET THERE BE LIGHT, which takes place today, Sunday, June 18, 2023, at City of Praise, Jericho City Drive, Landover, MD 20785.

The program, which will have worshippers from Delaware, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) and far beyond, starts at 7PM and will also feature Psalmists, Pastor Kunle Ajayi and Bidemi Olaoba.

Coming on the heels of the hugely successful 2023 Convention of The Americas, held at the expansive RCCG Camp Ground in Greenville, Dallas, Texas, the Light UP DMV is expected to be a power-packed time of worship, praise, the Word and Prophetic declarations, with signs, wonders, miracles following.

The Emmanuel Convention, which started on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, witnessed ministrations by Pastor Adeboye, Apostle Selman, Pastor Fadel, Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo and Pastor Leke Adeboye. Psalmists, Dunsin Oyekan, Tope Alabi and Bidemi Olaoba ministered in songs to the delight of the capacity crowd of worshippers that filled the well-appointed auditorium of the Church.

The program started with the Youth Convention on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, and continued with programs and songs ministrations targeted at the youths, young adults and all other participants throughout the duration of the event.

There was a Women Conference presided over by Pastor (Mrs.) Adeboye, a Men’s Conference, Empowerment/Breakout Sessions, School of Disciples and Bible College Graduation Service as well as Ordination of Deacons, Deaconesses, Assistant Pastors and full Pastors of the Church. There was also the Holy Communion and Anointing Service and, the crown the program, the Holy Ghost Service, which rounded off the Convention.

Besides the exciting Breakout Sessions and Empowerment Talks, there was also an Administration Session, a documentary on the developments in the Camp, different categories of Awards for outstanding service and a presentation by the African Missions Board, founded by Mummy GO, Pastor (Mrs.) Adeboye and headed by Pastor (Dr.) Toyin Laoye.

An inaugural meeting of the Redemption Bar Association and a presentation by The Redeemer’s Center for Entrepreneurship Development (RECED) also took place.

There were also stands by different organizations and groups, prominent among them being the Help Me Waka organisation, an errand service platform that serves, especially Nigerians and Ghanaians living abroad.

Overall, the Convention is being adjudged the best so far, though the leadership of the RCCG The Americas, led by Pastor Fadel insist that the best is yet to come.

The program was broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the RCCG The Americas and across the Church’s social media platforms.

RCCG The Americas covers RCCG churches in North, Central and South America with the headquarters in Greenville, Texas.
