Rhema University to confer Honorary Doctorate on former FUTO Vice-Chancellor
Rhema University, Nigeria, is set to confer an honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree on Professor Nnenna N. Oti, the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO).
The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the university’s campus along Aba-Owerri Road, Aba, Abia State.
Professor Oti announced the honour in an invitation addressed to friends, colleagues and well-wishers, inviting them to join her in celebrating the occasion.
She served as the eighth substantive Vice-Chancellor of FUTO from June 19, 2021, to June 18, 2026.
The honorary degree recognises her contributions to education, science and academic development.
The ceremony will hold at Rhema University, located at 153–155 Aba-Owerri Road, Aba, Abia State.
