Rivers PDP Chairman, Obuah, condemns murder of Mrs. Ebire Ejor Ngowah Ejor

The Chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bro Felix Obuah, has strongly condemned the gruesome murder of Mrs. Ebire Ejor Ngowah Ejor, wife of a chieftain of the party and former Executive Chairman of Eleme Local Government Council, Chief Ejor Ngowah Ejor.
The PDP Chairman described the killing as unwarranted, barbaric and shocking to the PDP family, saying the manner she was abducted, and later killed clearly exposes political undertones in the sad incident.
He explained that late Mrs. Ebire Ejor Ngowah Ejor, a devout Christian, was on Sunday June 5, 2015, abducted by hired assassins in Port Harcourt, until early hours of Tuesday, June 7, 2015, when her body was discovered in a remote village around Eagle Island, a Port Harcourt suburb.
Obuah bemoaned the unjustifiable taking of someone’s life, and urged the Rivers State Police Command and other relevant security agencies to beef up security in and around the State, demanding prompt unravelling by the police, of those behind this dastardly act and other criminal activities in the State.
While reiterating the avowed determination of the present government to ensure a clean, healthy and safe environment in the State, the PDP Chairman appealed to the youths and all those involved in acts of kidnapping, killing, cultism, armed robbery and other social vices in the State to desist forthwith before the full wrath of the law catches up on them.
He further called on parents and guardians, churches and corporate organizations to join the government in fighting crimes in the State, and urged the security agencies to redouble their efforts in tackling the menace.
