Peter Obi, Labour Party leaders campaign for George Muoghalu for Anambra Governor

Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi, other leaders of the party and a huge crowd of party supporters, attended the flag off of the  campaign of the party’s gubernatorial candidate for Anambra State’s 2025 election, Chief George Muoghalu and his deputy, Prof Ifeoma Okaro.

The campaign rally, which took place at the All Saints Cathedral field, Onitsha is for the November 2025 off-cycle gubernatorial election in the State and had in attendance, Senators Victor Umeh and Tony Nwoye, House of Representatives members, Hons. George Ozodinobi, Prof Lilian Orogbu, Uche Okonkwo, and other national and state house of Assembly members.

Also present were the National Coordinator of the Obidient movement, Dr Yunusa Tanko and Chairman of Labour Party Gubernatorial candidates, and Candidate for Delta State in the 2023 election, Mr. Ken Pela.

Mr. Obi, who handed over the party’s flag to Muoghalu at the rally, in a post on his X (former Twitter) platform, urged members of the party “to ensure that our campaign is devoid of name-calling, but strictly based on issues, security of lives, and properties, ensuring better education of our children, supporting the health sector and small businesses.”
