Sports Ministry releases time table for Federation elections

The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has released the time table for the up coming election into the Boards of Sports Federations.

According to the election time table released on Tuesday in Abuja, nomination forms will be released on September 15, with completed ones submitted on September 17th.

The election of all representatives from constituencies, except zonal Ones are expected to be concluded on September 21st closely followed by the zonal representatives election on 22 September.
Aggrieved contestants will have the opportunity to have their appeal heard on September 25, while bye elections take place on September 28.

The National Elections are scheduled to take place on September 30th at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja .
The hearing of any petition arising from the election will be on October 4, while bye elections take place on October 6.

All duly elected boards of the Federations will be sworn in by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare in Abuja on October 8, 2021.

Meanwhile, all Caretaker Committees of the affected Federations are expected to be dissolved a week before the election.
