The Super Falcons of Nigeria have arrived in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), making a colourful entrance as they prepare to defend their continental title.
After completing a 10-day training camp in Casablanca, the Nigerian squad travelled to the Moroccan capital in high spirits, with players showing confidence and excitement ahead of the tournament.
In a historic first, the Super Falcons wore specially designed traditional departure outfits. The players were dressed in matching green and white tie-dye African gowns with beautifully tied headwraps, proudly showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.
The unique attire added a touch of elegance to the team’s arrival and reflected the unity and strong spirit within the camp as they begin their quest for another African title.
The Super Falcons will play all their Group C matches in Rabat. Nigeria will begin their campaign against Malawi on Tuesday, 28 July, before taking on Zambia and Egypt in their remaining group fixtures.
The nine-time African champions are aiming to win a record-extending 11th WAFCON title and strengthen their position as the most successful women’s national team on the continent.
