Supreme Court upholds elections of Ortom, Fintiri, Tambuwal, Mohammed, Lalong, Ganduje,

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has upheld the elections of Governors Samuel Ortom of Benue State and Ahmad Fintiri of Adamawa State.

The apex court had, before these, also upheld the elections of Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State (PDP), Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State (PDP), Simon Lalong of Plateau State (All Progressives Congress, APC) and Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State (APC).

These rulings are coming on the heels of the uproar that followed the ruling of the Court concerning the Imo State governorship election appeal that saw the election of Emeka Ihedioha being overturned and Hope Uzodinma of the APC being pronounced governor of the state.
