Tambuwal dispels rumour of rift between him and Bafarawa

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has dispelled rumors of the existence of a rift between him and former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa warning Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, supporters in the state against  gossip and side talks so that the party can consolidate on the gains it has so far made.

Speaking at the PDP Stakeholders meeting held at Government House Sokoto, Tambuwal said  the meeting was convened to dispel insinuations of an imaginary  rift among the party leaders in the  state.
He pointed out that such rumours  were being circulated to create doubts in the minds of the people  of Sokoto state against the party.
The Governor, therefore, stressed that  the leadership of PDP in the state is solidly united, and focused .
He further assured of his administration’s commitment to operating an open door policy and that welcomes constructive suggestions that could lead to the  party’s victory during the general elections at all levels .
Earlier, former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa reaffirmed the unity of PDP members and supporters in Sokoto state.
The former Governor explained that there was no misunderstanding between him and Governor Tambuwal adding that such rumours were false and baseless.
He appealed to the people of the state to continue to rally round Governor Tambuwal in his efforts to reposition the economy of the state.
 Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa further said that they could do so by mobilising the electorates to vote massively for the PDP candidates during the forth coming elections.
