Tinubu departs Abuja for Saudi Arabia to pray for Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Thursday for Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah, an Islamic pilgrimage that involves prayers and other religious activities.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday, October 28, by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the visit will give the President an opportunity to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability and progress.

During his stay in Makkah, Tinubu will perform the religious rites associated with Umrah and seek Allah’s guidance and blessings for Nigeria and its citizens.

Before leaving Abuja, the President is expected to commission equipment acquired by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for its operations.

The commissioning will take place at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria next week after completing the spiritual exercise.
