As political activities heighten ahead of the All Progressives Congress, APC, party primaries in Edo state, the Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), has thrown its weight behind the state’s deputy governor, Dr. Pius Odubu.
The chairman of CRPP, Dr. Samson Isibor, said the coalition’s choice of Dr.Odubu as its preferred candidate in the forthcoming APC primaries was informed by what he calls ‘injustice’ done on him by his principal
Dr.Isibor who spoke to news men in Benin city while expressing worries about the political development in the APC said “This time around, we are supporting the deputy governor, Dr. Pius Odubu. The CRPP is going to line up behind Odubu because of the injustice done to him. We want to tell Oshiomhole that he is not God and he cannot control the destiny of human being”.
Speaking on the perceived injustice done on the deputy governor, Isibor said “So the CRPP is going to back Odubu in totality. We are backing him whether he wins or not. That is why we are appealing to the conscience of our compatriots in APC that they should use their sense of judgment to give Odubu the where-withal. If not APC should be ready to say bye-bye to Denis Osadebey Avenue”.
Isibor who was an advent supporter of the Comrade governor added “So many people have been asking me questions of why am I not defending the Comrade governor again. The governor is a man that does not appreciate those that helped him. He only uses people and dumps them. He used me to attack Chief Tony Anenih and went behind me to beg him. Is that a principled person?.
“We are supporting Odubu and by the grace of God, Pius Odubu will win no matter the intimidation or the alleged poison saga, he will win the primary election,” he said
