Former Imo State Governor Senator Rochas Okorocha has debunked news that he has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Okorocha was pictured alongside former Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, at the burial ceremony of the mother of one of his aides, Pascal Uju, with viral reports of his pledge to support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and PDP candidates at the 2023 general elections.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Sam. Onwuemeodo, the Senator said he could not have joined PDP in a burial ceremony, a statement that does not wholly refute claims that he is on his way back to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“We are at ease to say that Okorocha has not joined the PDP.
“He is still a member of the APC. Burial ceremony could not have become political declaration rally,” Okorocha said in the statement on Thursday evening.
