Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was on target again as his 65th-minute header helped Galatasaray secure a 3-1 win over Rizespor on Saturday.
Galatasaray took the lead in the 20th minute when Davinson Sánchez headed in a corner from Gabriel Sara. Rizespor thought they had equalised just before half-time through Dal Varesanovic, but the goal was ruled out for offside after a VAR check.
In the second half, Osimhen’s powerful header restored Galatasaray’s control of the game, before Mauro Icardi sealed the victory with a stoppage-time strike in the 92nd minute, assisted by Barış Alper Yılmaz.
The result gave Galatasaray their fourth straight win of the season, keeping their perfect record in the Turkish Süper Lig with 12 points. Osimhen has now scored twice this season, adding to his goal in the 4-0 win over Kayserispor.
