Winners have emerged in the Dr. Tim Anusiem University Grant for 2020/21 academic session for indigenes of Obowo in Imo State, Nigeria.
According to the Administrators of the scheme set up by Dr. Anusiem, a United States of America (US)-based Attorney to contribute to the educational advancement of the local government area of his birth, at the expiration of the deadline (31st August, 2021) for submission of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) results and Admission letters, five submissions were received.
Out of the five, the candidate with the highest JAMB score, in the local government area, of 246 was Joshua N. Okonkwo from Umuoke Obowo, who is admitted to read Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Imo State.
Okonkwo, therefore, won the N100,000 grant while runners up won consolation prizes.
Dr. Anusiem is also sponsoring other categories of prizes for secondary school students, teachers and principals of schools.
