Dr. Leesi Gborogbosi

Dr. Leesi Gborogbosi, a tested technocrat and renowned management consultant, has joined the race for the governorship position of Rivers State on the platform of Action Peoples Party (APP).

An economist with passion for the upliftment of the people of his state, Dr. Gborogbosi has, in a statement, outlined his plans to transform Rivers into a modern, secure and economically buoyant state that would be the envy of all other states in the country, especially given the human, material and economic endowments of the state.

He said that if given the opportunity to steer the ship of the state, he would revolutionize the education sector, transform the agricultural sector, industrialize and make the state an investors’ haven, especially with his wide network of international contacts and his expertise in economic management.

The widely travelled founder of Gabriel Domale Consulting is storming the gubernatorial race armed with about three decades of service experience in the global oil giant, Shell Nigeria. Besides his agenda of putting in place a secure society, a strong economy and an excellent and integrated governance structure, he is also assuring that he would build three new cities, one in each senatorial zone of the state, provide accessible health services, ensure mass employment and transform the pension regime of the state to guarantee regular payment of pensions and gratuities.

With a doctorate degree in Strategy and Business Studies from Madrid, Spain and other requisite degrees as well as professional qualifications and membership of reputable local and international professional bodies, Dr. Gborogbosi, from Ogoniland in Rivers State is the son of Very Rev Gabriel A. Gborogbosi (translated), a Presbyter of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Rivers State, and the discipline of his upbringing reflects in his insistence that accountability, integrity, service, respect for people and collaboration would be core values in his leadership of the state.
