IGP ASSURES NIGERIANS OF A CRIME-FREE TRANSITION PROGRAMME

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, has re-echoed his administration’s determination to make Nigeria a safe haven, where all well meaning residents can express their full potentials for the nation’s advancement.
According to a press release signed by Ag. Commissioner of Police Emmanuel C.S.Ojukwu, the Force Public Relations Officer, the IGP made this assertion Tuesday, during a meeting with the top brass of the Nigeria Police. He used the occasion to announce successes recorded in the operations recently launched to wipe out cultism and kidnapping in Edo, Ekiti and Ondo States and vowed to technically amputate criminally minded persons wherever and whenever they operate within the country. He announced the arrest of kidnapping kingpins in Edo and Ekiti States and expressed a resolve to charge the suspects to court as soon as the courts resume.
The IGP also used the occasion to announce a massive deployment of Police resources to ensure a successful transition programme come May 29, 2015.
