CAF Women’s Champions League: Bayelsa Queens FC through to Semi-final

Bayelsa Queens Football Club of Nigeria on Sunday night secured a place in the Semi-final of the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Prosperity ladies, as Bayelsa Queens are nicknamed, defeated bottom of the log Wadi Degla AC 3-0 to join South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in the last four.

The Nigerian Women Football League Champions finished the group stage with six points from three games to finish second behind Sundowns who topped group B with a perfect record.

In the Semi-final, Bayelsa Queens FC will face Morroco’s ASFAR FC for a chance to reach the final of the 2nd edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

In the other semi-final, defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns will take on Simba Queens who finished second in Group A.

The 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League is hosted by Morocco.
