The stage is set for the biggest sports event in Nigeria, as the 21st National Sports Festival lights up the country.
About 14,000 athletes from the 36 states of the federation including the FCT will compete in over 30 different sports for medals, pride and honour.
Today, Monday, November 28, 2022, signals the start of the festivities with this year’s event tagged “Uniting Nigeria, inspiring the next generation.”
Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare earlier stated that sports remains the biggest uniting factor in the country and the current administration will continually explore its potentials while creating a platform to usher in the next generation of sports stars in Nigeria.
Delta state will host the 2022 National Sports Festival and are favourites for the top prize on the strength of their excellent performances in recent history.
