Africa Universities Fund (AUF) , Inc. has announced a groundbreaking partnership with St. Joseph College of Nursing Sciences, Mbaise, Nigeria, to integrate the Google Professional Career Certificate in Project Management into the curriculum for all nursing students.
This initiative marks a major step in equipping future healthcare professionals with in-demand digital skills to excel in a rapidly evolving global workforce.
On Friday, August 6, 2025, Dr. Tobechukwu Nwachukwu, AUF’s Regional Manager for West Africa, visited the College to address the students and officially inaugurate the partnership.
With this collaboration, St. Joseph College of Nursing Sciences will be designated as an AUF Learning Link Campus—granting students access to a wide range of AUF’s digital learning programs in healthcare and technology. This integration will prepare nursing students not only to deliver high-quality healthcare services but also to manage projects efficiently and leverage digital tools in clinical and administrative settings.
“This partnership reflects AUF’s commitment to bridging the gap between healthcare education and 21st-century workplace demands,” said Dr. Nwachukwu. “By equipping nursing students with project management and digital competencies, we are preparing them to be leaders in
healthcare innovation both in Nigeria and globally.”
The initiative forms part of AUF’s mission to strengthen higher education across Africa through strategic partnerships, global learning opportunities, and technology-driven training.
