French footballer, Ousmane Dembélé, wins 2025 Ballon d’Or

Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner after a brilliant 2024/25 season where he proved his class both individually and with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
The French forward was central to PSG’s success, guiding them to the Ligue 1 title, the Champions League, and other trophies. He also claimed the Ligue 1 Player of the Season and Champions League Player of the Season awards.
Known for his goals, assists, and big-game performances, Dembélé’s consistency made him stand out among the world’s best.
The Ballon d’Or ceremony, held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, celebrated top players, clubs, and managers in world football.
In the women’s category, Aitana Bonmatí made history by winning her third Ballon d’Or in a row. Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal picked up the Kopa Trophy for Men’s Young Player of the Year, while Vicky López became the first-ever winner of the Women’s Kopa Trophy.
PSG were crowned Men’s Club of the Year, with Arsenal winning the Women’s Club of the Year. Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and England’s Hannah Hampton won the Yashin Trophy as the best goalkeepers. Luis Enrique (PSG) and Sarina Wiegman (England Women) were named Coaches of the Year, while Ewa Pajor and Viktor Gyökeres claimed the Gerd Müller Trophy as top scorers.
