The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its ward, local government, state congresses and National Convention.
The party called on interested members to obtain the forms if they wish to contest for different positions. The announcement was made in a notice signed by the National Organising Secretary, Pa Idigo.
According to the party, the cost of the forms depends on the position being contested.
At the ward level, the Expression of Interest Form is fixed at N2,000. Nomination forms cost N10,000 for Ward Chairman, N5,000 for Ward Secretary and N3,000 for other positions.
For local government positions, the form for Chairman is N40,000, Secretary is N30,000, while other positions are N10,000 each.
At the state level, aspirants for Chairman will pay N500,000, while the Secretary position costs N300,000. Other state offices are fixed at N50,000 each.
For the National Convention, each delegate is expected to pay a nomination fee of N10,000, with every local government area allowed to send one delegate.
The party also stated that aspirants must meet nomination requirements. Ward Chairman candidates need 10 nominators, while other ward positions require five. At the local government level, chairman aspirants must have 20 nominators across the area, while other positions need 10 each.
For state positions, those contesting for Chairman must secure 50 nominators from across the state, with at least one from each local government. Other state offices require 20 nominators.
Each nominator is also expected to pay a non-refundable fee of N50.
The party said the sale and submission of forms will close on March 27, 2026, and warned that late entries will not be accepted. Screening of aspirants is scheduled to take place between March 30 and March 31.
The congresses will begin in April, starting with ward congresses, followed by local government and state congresses, before the process ends with the National Convention later in the month.
