Amauzari Progress Union, UK branch, hosts Amauzari Day, fundraising for hospital refurbishment

The Amauzari Progress Union (APU), United Kingdom Branch, is celebrating the Amauzari Day 2025 on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 2:00 pm at 105 New Cross Road, London SE14 5DJ.
The event will bring together members of the Amauzari community in the UK, their friends, and supporters for an afternoon of cultural celebration and community solidarity.
This year’s Amauzari Day, according to the organizers, carries special significance as it will serve as a fundraising platform to support the refurbishment of Aladinma Hospital in Amauzari, Imo State, Nigeria.
“We are calling on all sons, daughters, and friends of Amauzari to join us as we celebrate our rich heritage while contributing to an important healthcare project back home,” said Rev. Chika Ndukwu, Chairman Planning Committee.
“This event is not only about preserving culture but also about making a tangible difference in our community.
“The celebration will feature cultural performances, speeches from community leaders, and opportunities for networking and collective action,” Pastor Emmanuel Omah, Chairman of APU UK, added.
“This is more than a social gathering, it’s a moment of purpose. Together, we can improve access to quality healthcare for our people through the refurbishment of Aladinma Hospital.
“The event is open to the public, and all interested parties are encouraged to attend and support the cause,” he stressed.
