Bauchi,
Some lecturers at the Bauchi state-owned Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic have expressed satisfaction with the manner the Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Prof.Suleiman Bogoro, handled the case of TETFund- sponsored scholars abroad.
Addressing newsmen in Bauchi through their spokesperson, Mr Osifo Steven, a group of 22 lecturers said Bogoro had exhibited compassion over the unsettled allowances as he had promised to settle the backlog.
They said the series of publications by a lecturer on the issue, depicting a desperate situation, was uncalled for, just as they dissociated themselves from any such act.
According to them, the affected lecturers on TETFund scholarship in 2015,2016 and 2017, experienced hiccups as a result of variations in dollar exchange rate.
They therefore urged those affected to exercise patience and avoid any act capable of creating a negative impression.
