Speaking for Ojo, Adefemi described the aspirant’s development blueprint as bold and transformative, with the goal of creating a distinct economic identity that would position Ekiti as a global destination.
He said Ojo’s agenda focused on human capital development, particularly through education, vocational training, and entrepreneurship to drive growth in agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure.
He explained that Ojo’s proposed agricultural reforms would move the sector from subsistence to agribusiness, using modern techniques and value-chain development to enhance productivity and exports.
In the tourism sector, Ojo plans to harness Ekiti’s natural and cultural assets through site upgrades, hospitality training, and international marketing campaigns.
If elected, Adefemi said Ojo would prioritise infrastructure by improving road networks, energy supply, and digital connectivity to support commerce and investment.
Adefemi further highlighted Ojo’s proposal for a “super-highway” that would connect Ekiti to Nigeria’s coastal ports, particularly Lekki, calling it a transformative infrastructure initiative.
The project, he said, would be realised through partnerships with the Federal Government and global development partners.
“This visionary infrastructure will turn Ekiti into a key inland logistics hub, a dry port for northern-bound goods, reducing transit costs, boosting trade, and attracting industrial investment,” he said.
He added that Ojo’s vision aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and aimed to position Ekiti as a vital contributor to Nigeria’s economic growth.
Adefemi also pledged that Ojo would guarantee full autonomy for local governments, strengthen diaspora engagement, and ensure transparent, people-driven governance.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Ekiti State governorship election is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026.
