Four teams gain promotion to Premier League; Chase Championship title (See all 20 NPL teams)

Four teams, Kano Pillars FC, Katsina United FC, Heartland FC and Sporting Lagos FC have all gained promotion to the Nigeria Premier League season.

This followed the completion of the Nigeria National League Super 8 playoff games in Delta State, today, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in Delta State.

On Matchday three, Katsina United FC defeated Kano Pillars FC to go level on six points with their North-West neighbors. This tally was enough to seal promotion back to the Premier League for both teams.

Their challengers DMD FC and EFCC FC finished three points apiece.

In the Southern Conference, Heartland FC overcame already promoted Sporting Lagos FC 2-1 to complete the list of promoted teams.

The NNL playoffs will continue with the four promoted teams battling for the Championship title.
