Ife Youths commend Ag CMD, OAUTHC for support

The Ife Youths Organization (IYO) has commended Prof. Afolabi Owojuyigbe, the Acting Chief Medical Director (CMD), Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, for his commitment to youth development.

The apex body of Ile-Ife youths, IYO presented Drop Banners of Prof Owojuyigbe and his acting Director of Administration, Alhaji Tajudeen Balogun, to them at the Board Room of the hospital in Ile-Ife, on Friday.

The President of the Organization, Comrade Oladimeji Abimbola, while speaking, thanked the management of the institution especially the Acting CMD and Acting Director of Administration for their commitment to the development of youths and the general well-being of the community.

Abimbola said that they have made provision of better and functional healthcare services unhindered to them.

According to him, youths are proud to be identified with their vision to identify and support individuals, groups and corporate organizations towards the development of Ile-Ife.

“And we do hope that our relationship will further engender the development of OAUTHC, Ile-Ife and humanity at large,” he stated.

In his remarks, Prof. Owojuyigbe applauded IYO, for surprising them with the presentation of the unexpected souvenirs.

He said that youths are the leaders of tomorrow but regretted the conditions confronting them across the country presently.

“We really understand, we feel for you, especially with the economic downturn, unemployment and other challenges facing you. Despite that, you still deemed it fit to present these to us.

“We are really touched by these gifts, and we promise you that whenever there’s any opportunity to help you, we’ll not hesitate to do so,” he assured the youths.
