Okowa commiserates with CBN governor over mother’s death

Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, has commiserated with the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, on the demise of his mother, late Mrs. Alice Emefiele, who died at the ripe age of 94.
In a condolence message to the CBN Governor, Dr. Okowa said Mrs. Alice Emefiele’s death is a great loss, not only to the Emefiele family, but to the entire state and nation in general, giving her invaluable contributions to the cause of humanity.
In the statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu, Okowa described the late Mrs. Emefiele as a great matriarch, whose invaluable care and support for her children led to Godwin Emefiele’s emergence as managing director of Zenith Bank Plc and later, Central Bank of Nigeria governor.
The governor ‘prayed God to grant repose to her soul, and give the Emefiele family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.’
