
Following the conclusion of the Group stage of the 2022 Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC ) U-17 Peace Cup in Delta State on Thursday December 15, eight teams have booked their places for the quarter finals.
The teams that made it to the next round of the competition are Carabana FC (Akwa Ibom), Campus FC (Imo) from Group A, Donastars FC (Abia) and Ine Stars (Edo) from Group B, El-Godz FC (Abia) and Delta Force (Delta) – Group C, and Future Dynamics (Bayelsa) and Dynamic SPMD (Akwa Ibom) – Group D.
In the final group games decided on Thursday, Diamond FC (Cross River) lost 1-0 to Campus FC (Imo).
New Evangel FC (Bayelsa) was held to a 0-0 draw by Carabana FC (Akwa Ibom) while Delta Force (Delta) defeated Genesis FC (Rivers) 2-0.
Kifa FC of Ondo were ripped apart by Delta United (Delta). Ine Stars (Edo) shared the spoils in a 1-1 result with Progress FC (Rivers), same scoreline for the games involving Dynamics SPMD (Akwa Ibom) and Future Dynamics (Bayelsa), as well as between Safe Side FC (Cross River) and Ever Bright FC (Imo).
Excellent Academy of Edo suffered a 6-0 defeat in the hands of El-Godz FC (Abia).
The quarter final pairings have, Group A winners Campus FC (Imo) to face Group C second place side, Delta Force (Delta) in the first quarter final match.
That will be followed by winner of Group C, El-Godz FC (Abia) against Carabana FC (Akwa Ibom). Group B winners, Donastars FC (Abia) will face Group D runner up, Dynamic SPMD (Akwa Ibom), before Group D winners, Future Dynamics (Bayelsa) trade tackles with Ine Stars (Edo) in the last quarter final fixture.
All quarter final fixtures will be played at the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi Uku today, Friday.

The Second edition of the Niger Delta Development Commission Peace Cup is hosted by Delta State. Akwa Ibom State hosted the maiden edition of the tournament.
