A new advocacy group ”Udom Nnyin” will soon be launched in Akwa Ibom to showcase the developmental perspective and good governance strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel to the world.

Pastor Bassey James, the man behind the project, made this known to newsmen in Uyo on Tuesday saying that  plans  are ongoing to launch the social advocacy group in October this year.

The event is expected to attract international speakers, academics, business leaders, sports experts and people from the economic sector.

Pst. James, who is also a security consultant, explained that, the mass advocacy project is about Governor Emmanuel, whose pragmatic leadership has brought good governance as can be seen in the aviation development and industrialization of the State.

According to him, ” Udom Nnyin”, which literally means “Udom’s Our Own”, is  a mass movement of supporters of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

“This is the point I want to let the world know that Akwa Ibom is blessed with a visionary and pragmatic leader that we must support to complete his agenda successfully.”

James further explained that, the Governor has raised the parameters of leadership in such a way that, only a governor in his mould would be able to sustain the tempo of development he has started so far in every sector of the state’s economy.

Therefore, Akwa Ibom people must in totality show solidarity with, and support the governor as the search for his successor continues.

He would present a credible and capable person to succeed him at the right time, James said, stressing that ”Udom Nnyin” will be launched and showcased on television and radio networks across the State.

Major highlights that would follow the launch include ”Udom Nnyin” leadership conference to be held  in Lagos, Uyo, Abuja, Port – Harcourt and other selected cities across Nigeria, to sensitize Akwa Ibomites living in those places on the development strides of Governor Emmanuel’s administration.

“We will showcase his achievements and the impactful programmes of industrial revolution, security, agriculture, human capacity development, investment opportunities, good governance and sports.

“We have done it before. I mobilized Akwa Ibom indigenes for Udom in 2015 and 2019 and we will do it better again in 2023 to ensure the preservation of his legacies,” he stressed.

When asked why the project was being launched at this time, he said, “I am personally committed to the development of my state, and I am happy the Governor has ensured the sustenance of peace, security and development in our state.”

James added that, ”Udom Nnyin” advocacy project will also get into all the nooks and crannies of the State, with the message of a people – loving governor who cherishes development through building capacities,  job creation, industries, securing lives and ensuring peace and tranquility of the state.
