Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman scored the opening goal to inspire a 2-0 Atalanta win over Cagilari in the Italian Serie A.
The Super Eagle fired Atalanta ahead in the 33rd minute of the first half to boost his sides confidence against a determined Cagilari side.
Mario Pasalic netted the second for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side to seal a 2-0 win in front of their fans.
25-year old Lookman has now scored in a second game in a row for Atalanta. The Nigerian International was also on the scoresheet against Fiorentina, last week.
The win takes Fiorentina up to sixth place in the Italian Serie A standings.
Elsewhere in Italy, Lookman’s compatriot, Victor Osimhen missed a penalty kick in Napoli’s 0-0 draw at Bologna to extend his goal drought to four games.
Osimhen raged and threw angry words at Napoli Coach, Rudi Garcia when he was taken off in the 86th minute, a reaction which summed a frustrating evening for the Super Eagles top marksman.
