North America chapter of Abia State University Alumni Association holds 2022 Convention, September 16-18

The North America chapter of the Abia State University Alumni Association (ASUAA), will hold its 2022 Convention from Friday September 16 to Sunday, September 18, 2022.

The program holds at the William Bolger Hotel and Conference Center 9600 Newbridge Dr Potomac MD, 20854.

Highlights of the event include a Meet & Greet/Arrival Party on Friday, September 16, 2022, with Music by DJ Barack.

In the morning of Saturday September 17, Professor Bond Anyaehie and Dr. Emeka Boris Oji will speak at the Seminar/Meeting of the Alumni Association.

A Bus tour to DC will take place on Saturday afternoon before a Gala Night where Afrobeat dance troupe “Chii,” Olujazz the Saxophonist, and Comedian Dauda will thrill the participants. There will also be a Raffle Draw to spice up the evening that is expected to be fun filled.

The Convention will also feature a Community Outreach on Sunday September 18, 2022, before Departures.

The weekend that is expected to be memorable will be an opportunity for graduates of the Uturu, Abia State, Nigeria-based institution of higher learning living in North America to reconnect with each other, network and socialize, as well as strategise on how to give back to their Alma Mater.

The President of the Association, Mr. Okechukwu Uguru, who has been working round the clock putting finishing touches to arrangements for the Convention, has promised an event like no other.

A registration portal has already been opened for enrollment by members and to aid seamless logistics arrangements for a successful Convention.

Abia State University, Uturu, Abia State Nigeria was established in 1981 by Dr Sam Mbakwe, then Governor of old Imo State. The University is blessed with Alumni Associations spread across Nigeria and the Diaspora.
