Police parade suspected killers of traditional ruler in Gombe

Police in Gombe have paraded two suspected killers of Saleh Galadima Wange, the ward head of Bagunji in Shongom LGA of Gombe State.

Parading the suspect, one Shadrach Aliyu of same Bagaunji village and some other alleged criminals, the State Police Commissioner, Shina Tairu Olukolu said the suspect was arrested along with an accomplice at Kurmi LGA of Taraba State.
He explained that Police investigation had revealed that one Anthony Makeri of the same address had contracted Shadrach and the accomplice who is at large, to kill the traditional ruler, promising to pay them the sum of N150,000 when the mission was completed.
The Police Commissioner said, Anthony, who provided the arms and ammunition for the job and failed to pay his contractors, was arrested on 7th August, 2018.
The suspects have been charged to court.
The Police also paraded a syndicate of four youths aged 29, 25, 24 and 22 who specialized in using fabricated master keys to steal and sell stolen motorcycles with fake receipts to unsuspecting innocent buyers.
Exhibits recovered from them include one fabricated master key, one KASEA motorcycle, one YAMAHA ladies motorcycle without plate number, one JINGCHENG KASEA motorcycle, one HAOJUE motorcycle and two fake receipt booklets.
