RCCG’s Annual Convention holds August 5-11; Theme: HEAVEN

….Visit Mount Carmel Prayer Village, Ifewara, Osun State
The 2024 International Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) will hold from Monday, August 5 to Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the Redemption City, on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Nigeria.
The theme of the highly anticipated programme is HEAVEN, and according to the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the Convention will be dedicated to teachings on the subject of Heaven, especially to address the controversies surrounding the subject, and correct some misconceptions being peddled by some ‘theologians.’
Already, a 14-day fast is being observed across the world in preparation for what Pastor Adeboye said, is going to be, from the first to the last day of the programme, a very impactful and enriching spiritual experience.
The internationally highly respected Cleric, during the July Holy Ghost Service, held last Friday, July 5, 2024, took time to explain the theme of the upcoming Convention and why everyone should be part of the programme, before he began his ministration on the theme of the Service, which was “From the Mountain Top Part 6: Refuel Your Fire.”
Pastor Adeboye ministered after Pastor Deola Mensah, who oversees the RCCG Middle East Region 2, and took time to exhort the congregation on the necessity to always refuel, physically and spiritually, in readiness for the battles and challenges ahead, stressing that life, greatness, hotness, brightness, glory, etc are all in incremental degrees, with nothing but the highest degrees to be desired.
The testimonies shared at the well attended programme, which was preceded, on Thursday July 4, 2024, by a Holy Communion Service, were particularly spectacular. The G.O also made prophetic declarations over the congregation, on site and online.
It is also the birth month of the wife of the General Overseer, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, and Mummy G.O, as she is fondly called, who turns 76 on July 13, 2024, was specially celebrated at the Holy Ghost Service, as well as with a Lecture in her honour.
From the Holy Ghost Service, the General Overseer went to Mount Carmel Prayer Village, the popular mountain top prayer sanctuary at Ifewara, his place of birth, from where he broadcast the Thanksgiving Sunday message, on “Heirs of God (Inheritors of God)” to the world.
He also unveiled a beautiful big sized painting showing Elijah performing his feat of defeating the 400 prophets of Baal at the Biblical Mount Carmel, before commencing his message, which, using Romans 8:14-17, stressed the necessity for genuine sonship, as the Lord knows those who are His, those who are His heirs and joint-heirs with Christ.
The Mount Carmel Prayer Village, Ifewara, Osun State is, indeed, a place to experience. It is truly a serene haven, tucked away within the breathtaking beauty of Osun State, Nigeria. It is a place built for personal or group prayer retreats, with well maintained accommodation of different sizes.
A perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to be at peace with God, the Village, which has the G.O’s house at the top of the mountain, has many prayer huts built into the hilly sides of the large premises for individuals to go into for intense prayers and personal encounters with their Maker.
