US-based Professor Nwauwa bags Africa Outstanding Leadership Award
Professor of History and Africana Studies at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, United States of America (USA), Professor Apollos Okwuchi Nwauwa, has been nominated to receive the Africa Outstanding Leadership Award, being conferred on some distinguished Nigerians based on their integrity and impact within their communities and professions.
According to the award conferment notification sent to Professor Nwauwa by Jerry Vreeman, the Executive Director of Leadership in Obscurity Network (LION Outreach International), based in Colorado Springs, United States, the award will be presented in Lagos after an executive leadership training program on July 23, 2024.
The training program, which will take place at the Lagos Television Combo Hall, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos from 9 am, is being organized by the Global Skills Hub United Kingdom and LION Outreach International United States.
Global Skills Hub United Kingdom is the organizer of the yearly Africa Education Summit and the Africa Health Summit, and the July 23, 2024 Lagos training will be conducted in partnership with Honey Olawale, Director of Global Skills Hub, United Kingdom.
Professor Nwauwa, the Imo State born, USA-based lecturer and community leader, whose teaching and research focus on Africa, especially colonial, post-colonial, intellectual and diaspora history, is also the Secretary General of the African Diaspora Congress (ADC), a formidable pan-African group.
