The Anambra State government has made good its pledge to rename the State’s Airport after the world renowned writer, Professor Chinua Achebe.
Professor Achebe, author of such classics as Things Fall Apart, Man of the People, No Longer At Ease, Anthills of the Savannah and The Trouble With Nigeria, who hails from Anambra State, passed on in the United States of America (USA) 10 years ago.
He is, however, still being celebrated all over the world for the great impact he made with his literary works which are still in high demand globally.
The new face of the Anambra Airport was officially unveiled recently. It has become the Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, Anambra State!!
