Charge D’Affaires of Nigeria to the United Nations (UN), H.E Ambassador Samson Itegboje recently unveiled Dr. Taoheed Olufemi Elias to the Diplomatic Community in New York, United States of America (USA) as Nigeria’s Candidate to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the Term 2027 – 2036.
UN Permanent Representatives, Deputy Permanent Representatives, Election Officers and Legal Advisers of different countries attended the Reception, held at Nigeria House, New York.
Dr. Elias, currently a Judge Ad Hoc at the ICJ and full member of the Institut de Droit International, is the son of late Dr. Taslim Elias, a former Chief Justice of Nigeria and Attorney General of the Federation who also served as President and Judge at the ICJ.
