Consul General in New York, Amb. Egopija assures of better consular services, counsels Nigerians




Nigeria’s new Consul General in New York, United States of America (US), Ambassador Peter Lot Egopija, has promised that all bottlenecks in processing travel documents will be removed, assuring also that all backlogs in collection of passports will be cleared soon.
Ambassador Egopija, who addressed the congregation of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Dominion Cathedral, Orange, New Jersey, US, on Sunday, July 4, 2021, however, urged all to begin the process of renewal of their travel documents six months before the expiration of the documents so as not to put pressure on themselves or on the Consulate.
The Envoy, who was in New Jersey and decided to fellowship in Dominion Cathedral with his family also stressed that he is in Nigeria House (the Consulate General) in New York to serve Nigerians , that his doors will always be open to all who come to the Consulate and that you ndo not need to know anybody in the Consulate for your issue to be attended to.
He commended the Senior Pastor of the Church, Pastor (Dr.) Toyin Laoye for her laudable role in the affairs of Nigerians in the Disapora, especially for her role in the Consulate’s recent historic Remembrance Ceremony in honor of Nigerian’s who died as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Consul General was warmly welcomed to the Church and Pastor (Dr.) Laoye prayed for him and his family for God’s help, favor, strength and direction.
