Ensure that you vote, Pastor Adeboye charges RCCG members

Pastor E. A. Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has asked members of the Church to ensure that they vote in the upcoming general elections in Nigeria.

The Presidential and National Assembly elections come up on Saturday, February 16, 2019 while the Governorship and State Assembly elections are slated for Saturday, March 2, 2019.

Pastor Adeboye, during the last Holy Ghost Service of the Church for February, at the Redemption Camp on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Nigeria, urged the members of the world-wide mega Church registered to vote in the elections to ensure that they cast their votes so that the ungodly is not empowered.

He said it is their civic duty to vote and that they must vote because if the ungodly is elected as a result of their not voting, they would have no right to complain thereafter.

He also said that after voting, security situation permitting, they must wait for the votes to be counted and for the outcome to be recorded before they leave.

The highly respected Cleric also said at the Service whose theme was ‘Swimming in Glory Part 2,’ that all must pray for God’s mercy for Nigeria.

He said that prayers must be said for the country before the elections and during the elections, and that prayers for “a massive dose of mercy” must be said for the country after the polls.

Because of the elections, the General Overseer (G.O) said that the March Special Holy Ghost Service would hold only on Thursday, February 28, 2019 and Friday, March1, 2019 and would end early on Saturday so that those who would be attending can get back home in time to participate in the Governorship and State Assembly elections of March2, 2019.

He also urged those who stay three hours distance from the Redemption Camp to stay at home and watch the program via television and online platforms so as to be able to participate in the elections.
